Controversial Nigerian singer and songwriter Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred emotions online after a video of him slamming his colleague, Speed Darlington, over his recent sexual allegations.
In a trending clip, Portable condemned Speed Darlington for allegedly admitting to raping a minor, labelling him, “a disgrace to the Igbo culture”.
OSG recalls reporting how NAPTIP and the Lagos LSDVA reacted to a video of Speed Darlington that went viral. In the clip, the singer shared how he slept with a 15-year-old girl at a hotel months back.
This confession came as a shock to many as the Bomb crooner admitted that he even paid the girl off with the sum of #2000 naira.

Portable shades Speed Darlington
The Ogun State Street-pop star dropped an eight-minute video where he lambasted Speed Darlington. He questioned the sanity behind Speed Darlington’s action while tagging him as “a disgrace to the Igbo culture”.
Portable said:
“He is the first Igbo man that I’ve seen to be lazy, He’s also the first I’ve seen that assaults underage girls.
Your makes usually spend money on ladies before sleeping with them, but yours is different.”
Portable gave Speed Darlington a tongue-lashing for dragging some of his favourite helpers. He also recalled when the rapper dragged American label boss and singer, Diddy, for his alleged involvement in sexual defilement cases.
The Zazoo crooner also emphasised why he would never do such a thing. He said:
“I need them to pay me 200m to beat you, or are you telling me it’s content, or you are trying to drop a song to trend?”
Even if you’re horny you could have just called a runs girl, but you prefer to disgrace yourself by acknowledging that you raped a 15-year-old and gave her just #2000 naira.”
Speed Darlington Reacts to online trolls who called him out for his actions
OSG recalls reporting how Speed Darlington reacted to calls for his arrest. In the video, Speed explained why he feels no remorse over his actions. He said:
“Those of you calling for my arrest are not serious, if this had happened in the northern part of Nigeria, you people would have backed me up, but because I’m from the Eastern part, you feel it is wrong.”

However, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has taken action following Speed Darlington’s disturbing admission of raping a 15-year-old girl.
NAPTIP has invited the controversial Nigerian singer for questioning regarding the incident. The Lagos State Government has also initiated an investigation into the matter.
