A woman has come forward with a detailed account of what she claims was a six-year relationship with popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, igniting renewed debate online as allegations surrounding the pastor continue to grow.

In a video that surfaced yesterday, the woman said she was a member of the church choir when the alleged relationship began around 2015. According to her, the incident that changed everything happened on December 25, 2015, when Pastor Chris Okafor allegedly invited her to his house.

She claimed that upon arrival, she noticed the house was unusually empty and asked about his family. According to her, he told her his wife and children had travelled for the holidays and that he would join them later — a situation she said she later realised was linked to marital issues at the time.

The woman further alleged that during that visit, Pastor Chris Okafor asked her to resign from her job, claiming he had received a revelation that the man she was dating at the time was occultic and dangerous to her future. She said he promised to take care of her financially, place her on a monthly salary, and even told her he liked her and wanted to marry her.

She stated that he gave her ₦50,000 that day and she was in oblivion about why that money was given to her. That day according to her marked the beginning of their alleged relationship. According to her, the relationship soon became intimate and continued for several years.In her emotional account, the woman claimed that between 2015 and 2021, she had four abortions, which she said were connected to the relationship. She alleged that in 2021, she decided she could no longer go through another abortion due to the emotional and psychological toll.

She claimed that her refusal to have another abortion led to the end of the relationship, alleging that Pastor Chris Okafor became angry, stopped taking her calls, and completely cut off communication. According to her, she went on to give birth to the child, saying the guilt and pain from the previous abortions made it impossible for her to continue.

Responding to criticism from people who believe such stories should not be shared publicly, the woman said she felt compelled to speak because, according to her, her life was deeply affected by the alleged relationship. She described the experience as one of manipulation, emotional control, and broken promises, stating that she was repeatedly assured of marriage over the years.
