A viral tweet circulating on X formerly Twitter has reignited conversations about Tonto Dikeh’s many phases in the public eye, just days after renewed attention on her church testimony sparked fresh reactions online. The tweet, shared by a social media user, listed what they described as every version of the Nollywood actress they had witnessed over the years, ending with what they referred to as her current phase as a repentant woman devoted to God.

The post quickly gained traction, with many users agreeing that few Nigerian celebrities have lived as much of their lives publicly as Tonto Dikeh. The timing of the tweet, coming amid discussions about her recent church appearance, further fueled debate across social media platforms.

During a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church in Abuja, led by Pastor Jerry Eze, Tonto Dikeh delivered a deeply personal and revealing testimony about her life, struggles, and what she described as divine deliverance from years of hardship. In her testimony, the 40‑year‑old actress disclosed that she began smoking at the age of 13, a habit that lasted about 27 years and left a lasting impact on her life. She attributed the start of her addiction to early exposure in her home environment and said the habit persisted well into adulthood until she experienced what she described as a spiritual breakthrough. 

Dikeh also spoke candidly about battling alcohol addiction and what she called “demonic anger,” which she said affected her relationships and emotional well‑being for many years. According to her, these struggles shaped much of her adult life until a profound change came through her growing relationship with God and spiritual renewal. 

She shared that the cravings for cigarettes and alcohol have entirely disappeared, describing her body as no longer seeking those substances. She also recounted how persistent anger and emotional turmoil gave way to peace, something she said she had never experienced in prior years. 

In addition, the actress mentioned being delivered from chronic back pain she had suffered for about 20 years and from troubling dreams that she had lived with since childhood. Dikeh said that attending a prayer conference in Ghana marked a turning point in her spiritual life, after which she began to notice significant changes in her heart and mind. 

Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for her publicly, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and describing her testimony as one that could inspire others.
