Koffi Olomide was deported from Kenya to his home country days ago for beating a woman who happens to be one of his female dancers. But on getting to his home country,  Congo, he was arrested and charged to court for assault.

The Makosa singer was yesterday sentenced to a year in prison without the option of fine for assaulting his dancer. as he arrives at the Makala prison in Kinshasa. The prison sentence has commenced with immediate effect.
