A US airstrike targeting an ISIL camp in Libya today has killed up to 40 people.

The US airstrike is the second targeted at Libya and is Part of scaled up attacks against the Islamic State In Iraq and the Levants.

Senior US officials have confirmed today’s attacks and that it probably killed Noureddine Chouchane, a high level target.

Noureddine Chouchane is suspected to have masterminded two terror attacks claimed by ISIL.
