Top 100 Ghanaians Powerlist: Avance Media Names Ghana’s 2025 Most Influential Personalities

Leading African PR and rating firm, Avance Media, has announced the inaugural edition of the Top 100 Ghanaians Powerlist 2025, an annual publication recognising Ghanaians whose influence, leadership, and authority have significantly shaped Ghana’s political, economic, social and cultural landscape over the past year.

Presented across 10 carefully defined categories, the list cuts across all vital sectors of Ghanaian society, including governance, civil society, business leadership, media, sports, religion, traditional leadership, education, law, and national security.

Notable figures featured on the 2025 list include heads of the arms of government, such as H.E. John Dramani MahamaRt. Hon. Alban BagbinHis Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, and Vice President H.E. Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

The 2025 Powerlist features 28 prominent Ghanaian women, including Angela Kyerematen-JimohGertrude Araba TorkornooShirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson, reflecting women’s leadership and influence across national and international spheres.

Speaking on the release, Prince Akpah, Founder and Managing Director of Avance Media, stated: The Top 100 Ghanaians Powerlist is our editorial assessment of the most influential Ghanaians. It goes beyond titles to examine influence, impact, and relevance, recognising those who lead, shape narratives, and have the power to cause change. The Powerlist is also intended to provoke national reflection on leadership, and accountability, while documenting how power is exercised across Ghana’s evolving society.”

Selection for the Powerlist is guided by five key criteria: influence; leadership and authority; measurable impact; relevance within the year under review; and public visibility and accountability.
