Positive words of assurance from the governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as he has stated that Lagosians should not worry because the virus is now under control.

He noted last there has been a decrease in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases for the past two weeks as they are working around the clock to control the virus.

He had a press briefing yesterday, July 1 and said:

The governor said, “We must, however, mention that we have seen a gradual decrease in the positivity rate in Lagos State over the last two weeks which combined with our increase in the testing numbers, points to a very encouraging picture of the outcome of our response strategy in the state. We will continue to fine-tune our strategy and our efforts to build on our successes and close all existing gaps if any.”

He gave credit to the increase in the number of tested samples as a success with the introduction of more laboratories in the state with the control of the virus.
