The Democratic and Republic Presidential primaries in America on Tuesday night recorded victories for the underdogs.
Donald Trump’s momentum was arrested as Ted Cruz recorded a big win in Winsconsin to keep the race for the Republic nomination closer than before.
Many see Cruz’s victory yesterday as a sign that the Republican machinery is finally rallying around Cruz but its probably too early to call.
Cruz told his supporters on Tuesday night, “We are winning because we are uniting the Republican Party”
At the Democratic end, Bernie Sanders continued his recent upsurge with yet another win over Hillary Clinton to narrow a gap which threatens to get wider.
The reality remains that the biggest prizes for Sanders are New York and Pennsylvania where wins will enable him actually cut into Clinton’s lead.
