High Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd, has pledged his backing for the upcoming Delta State Creative & Entertainment Summit 2.0. The announcement was made by Ambassador Prayer Pemu, Special Adviser on Entertainment to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Pondiโs support comes at a crucial moment. The summit themed โAdvancing Delta State Economic Growth Through the Creative Industryโ is scheduled to take place on 28 November 2025, at the Maryam Babangida Leisure Park in Asaba. Pemu described the MDโs commitment as a โsignificant boostโ for this yearโs edition, which aims to spotlight the economic potential of Deltaโs creative ecosystem.
Tantitaโs backing reflects more than just sponsorship; it underscores a long-term vision. Pondi, already known for supporting Deltaโs creative sector, has historically aligned with youth empowerment and community development. For Deltaโs creative talents, his support could open doors not just for recognition, but for practical growth and monetisation.
What the Summit Aims to Deliver

The Delta Creative & Entertainment Summit 2.0 promises to be more than just a gathering of industry leaders. Organisers say it will blend panels on business, investment, and training with performances from major names. According to promotional materials and media reports, the event will harbour a โskills acquisition componentโ meant to equip local creatives with practical knowledge and tools.
Some of the big names expected include comedian Gordons, singer Harrysong, and AY Comedian, as well as Tega Oghenejobo, President of Mavin Records. Victor AD, who hails from Delta, is also listed, giving the event a strong local flavour. Nollywood legend Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) is another confirmed participant, adding industry gravitas.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is expected to attend as a special guest, signaling strong government support for the creative economy. The summit aligns with his administrationโs MORE Agenda, which seeks to promote youth empowerment, economic diversification, and social development in Delta State.
Why Tantitaโs Support Matters
Pondiโs involvement carries strategic weight. As a business leader in the Niger Delta, his commitment to cultural and creative development reinforces the importance of collaboration between private enterprise and the state. Amb. Prayer Pemu noted that Pondiโs backing adds legitimacy to the summit, possibly encouraging other investors and stakeholders to engage.
Beyond investment, Tantita has a track record of community development. Earlier this year, the company donated a community-based therapy (CBT) centre to a Delta community, advancing its role as a social stakeholder, not just a security firm. This latest pledge builds on that legacy, suggesting that Pondi sees the creative sector as a key lever for sustainable growth.
