Reality TV star Natacha “Tacha” Akide has wrapped up her much-publicised challenge, completing 145 makeovers in 24 hours in a Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt. The event took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History, Lagos. 

The makeover marathon was part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025. Tacha had originally targeted 150 makeovers in a single day.  Despite technical challenges, including a brief power outage during the early hours, she pushed through with determination and speed. 

Her lineup of models spanned different body types and skin tones. Some of them are well-known influencers such as Mitchy, Venita Akpofure, Wanni, and Handi.  Each makeover was fully documented with professional headshots and runway showcases for verification. 

A number of celebrities, influencers, and public figures attended the event to show support. Names mentioned include Toke Makinwa, Alex Unusual, Dabota Lawson, Ice Prince, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.  While Tacha is now awaiting official confirmation from Guinness World Records before being declared a record holder, many in the entertainment and beauty sectors have already celebrated the feat. 

Tacha’s attempt reflects more than just a personal goal. it highlights Nigeria’s growing strength in beauty, creative entrepreneurship, and culture. The government of Lagos State had endorsed the attempt, viewing it as part of a broader push to position Nigerian beauty and lifestyle industries on the global stage.
