Nigeria’s Super Eagles have wrapped up their group stage campaign in style after securing a 3–1 victory over Uganda, confirming their place in the Round of Sixteen even before the final whistle of the group stage.

The match kicked off earlier today at the Complexe Sportif de Fès in Morocco, with Nigerian fans already confident going into the game following the team’s impressive performances in their first two matches. Despite having already qualified before this third fixture, the Super Eagles showed no signs of easing off.

Uganda managed to pull one goal back later in the game, which was scored by Rogers Mato but it was only a consolation, as Nigeria remained firmly in control until the final whistle.

With this win, Nigeria finished the group stage strongly, recording three wins from three matches and advancing comfortably to the knockout rounds. The result further strengthens the Super Eagles’ status as one of the tournament’s most in-form teams heading into the business end of AFCON.
