First gay radio station in Africa opens in South Africa

A radio station has opened for the LGBT community in South Africa and it is the first gay-themed radio in the continent.

According to BBC, GaySAradio produces content for Africaโ€™s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and intersex communities and is trying to counter homophobia and break down stereotypes.

The BBC’s Christian Parkinson spent the day at the station in the capital, Pretoria.
