For reasons I canโt explain, Iโm unusually excited about Sundays. Even when Iโm unable to go to church, thereโs this calm and ease that just fills my heart and living space that I canโt help but sing. Oh yes, I sing pretty well. As a matter of fact, I once auditioned for a talent hunt. Perhaps I wouldnโt have taken blogging very seriously if I had passed the audition and maybe won the reality show. Today, I am grateful that I followed my passion and it has brought me this far. Today is definitely going to be another beautiful Sunday.
After yesterdayโs grand arrival at the MTV MAMA 2016 and the beautiful artistic experience that followed, I am coming very close to concluding that this tour is the best I have been on ever.ย With less than 48 hours to go here, I feel so refreshed and ready to hit my home ground running. It remains to be seen what today has in store for us.
So the group took a ride around Johannesburg in different vintage cars. It was epic – the sight and feeling. Other guests in the hotel asked if we were shooting a video. It was that good. We drove from Melrose Arch to Hartbeespoort for a cable car ride to the mountain top. This experience reminds me of Cape town where Table mountain is located.
My automobile of choice was a 1963 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL. The carโs interior and beauty made me marvel at the kind of creativity that existed even as far back as then. It felt like a luxurious taste of the past. It was such a good feeling and Iโm so grateful to South African Tourism. This surprise got me.
We arrived at the Harties Cable for our cable car ride to the top of the mountain. The view from the top is amazing. We could see the whole of the resort from the height. When we got off the cable cars, weย hopped in for a boat cruise which lasted 50minutes. Still feeling energetic, I, Juliet Ibrahim, Mohammed, Stella and Sisi Yemmie went on a speed boat ride. The adrenaline rush was incomparable to any previous activities. I love to go fast. This speed boat was everything.
After all the fun, we headed back to the hotel for dinner. What a Sunday!
