Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus aka Portable has finally turned himself days after he went into hiding from the Ogun State government.
OSG recalls reporting when the Ogun State government declared Portable wanted for assaulting some officials who were on duty around the singer’s vicinity in Iyana-Ilogbo.
Portable and his boys were accused of beating, assaulting and attempted murder against the Ogun State Town Planning Management Staff.
According to reports, Portable turned himself in at the Lagos State SCID Panti. He was later transferred to the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Below is a statement released by the Ogun State Police confirming that they now have Portable in their custody after receiving him from the Lagos State SCID on Wednesday, 19, 2025.
“The Ogun State Police Command wishes to inform the public that Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, Abeokuta, at exactly 13:23 hours today, February 19, 2025. His presence at the SCID is in connection with an ongoing investigation. The Command assures the public that due process will be followed in handling this matter, and updates will be provided as necessary.
We urge members of the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information. The Ogun State Police Command remains committed to upholding justice and maintaining public order. For further inquiries, please contact the Ogun State Police Public Relations Department.”
OSG also recalls reporting when Portable released a video where he begged the Ogun State police to forgive him. In another clip, the singer was seen at a church praying in front of an altar.
This isn’t the first time the controversial singer has been arrested and charged to court by the Ogun State police for assault, public unrest and several other nefarious acts.
In 2022, Portable was arrested and dragged to court for assaulting some police officers who were at his bar for issues bordering on public unrest and assault of his former signee, Manny Monie.
