Senator Murray Bruce didn’t pay me to Produce my Songs – Alariwo

Popular singer, Alariwo of Africa, has reported that he did not collect money from Senator Ben Murray Bruce to produce his two latest songs.

The artiste who hit the limelight over a decade ago recently released the songs: โ€˜Buy Naija to Grow the Nairaโ€™ and โ€˜Common Sense,โ€™ in which he featured Senator Ben Bruce. Many people believed the senator must have paid Alariwo so much money.

In an interview with Saturday Punch, Alariwo said that he didnโ€™t collect a dime from the senator.

โ€œOne thing I need to make clear is the fact that people are saying the Senator paid me to do those songs. This is false. I was not paid a dime; I have not met Senator Ben Bruce since I did that song. I spent my money shooting the video and I did everything myself. I only met Ben Bruce on his birthday when he invited me because of the โ€˜Common Senseโ€™ song that I did. That was the last time I saw him. I have not seen him since February. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.โ€

He also denied that Innoson Motors gave him a car since he also mentioned the millionaire businessman in his song.

โ€œI wonder why people would also say that. I wasnโ€™t given any car by Innoson Motors. That is the truth. At the moment, I donโ€™t have a car. I sold my two cars when my wife and I were ill,โ€ he said.
