After being criticised for living a lavish lifestyle, former senator Dino Melaye hit back at veteran entertainer and campaigner Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy.

Recently, after a video showing Melaye calling himself a “limited edition” went viral, Charly Boy made fun of the former senator.

The performer made fun of Melaye for constantly showing off her money and implied that this conduct might be a cover for more serious emotional issues.

“Not all mental illnesses are noticeable,” Charly Boy commented, implying the senator’s actions might reflect unresolved internal issues.

Melaye didn’t hold back in a scathing video response that he posted on his social media platforms. He accused Charly Boy of attacking him in an effort to regain his prominence.

“Charly Boy is trying to use my name to gain popularity because his destiny has been thrown inside a freezer,” Melaye said mockingly.

The former senator also ridiculed the activist’s living situation, claiming:

“I heard he has a leaking roof, but he has no money to fix it. He places a whole big bike in front of his house like a statue and doesn’t see that as showing off.”

Melaye ended the video with a caption that read: 

“Boda agbaya..Charly Boy. Bad son of a good father. Egungun wey dey climb okada. Be careful.”

Dino Melaye, who represented Kogi West in the 8th National Assembly and is well-known for his extravagant automobile collection and flamboyance, is no stranger to controversy. His online lifestyle choices frequently garner notice.
