An economic recession and a weak currency has not stopped Nigeria’s Senate from splashing the cash.

After widespread criticism after a plan to spend N4bn on vehicles for Nigerians senators went public, the Senate President has taken delivery of exotic cars worth N330 million.

The Senate has reportedly purchased 10 brand new vehicles as it appears that the senate will move ahead with its original plan to purchase vehicles for all members.

The Senate has also reportedly concluded plans to purchase the rest of the vehicles in batches.
