The Senate has confirmed the appointment of former service chiefs as non career ambassadors.

The confirmation was done at the plenary on Tuesday, following the consideration of report made by Senator Muhammad Bulkachuwa.

Recall that there were petitions made against these former service chiefs which were later dismissed without explanation.

After the report was made, the monitor leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe questioned the dismissal of the petition but Lawan opposed, saying the petition lacked merits.
