It’s more drama than love in the private life of Nollywood veteran, Saidi Balogun as his lover, Funke Sofowora said they have separated. Funke has also disassociated herself from the actor and cleared the air on their relationship.
E24-7Magazine had on Saturday called the single mother, who is a sister to Obi Elegushi to ask her birthday wish for the popular actor. She had responded. ”Please, go and ask him. He’s the one doing birthday. Call him. I don’t have any wish for him. I wish him well. Saidi is not my husband. I don’t have a husband. I’m not married. I’m still single.’
Funke’s claim would shock not a few socialites and fans of Balogun who thought they were on the marriage track. The estranged couple made their first appearance after several weeks of speculations in the media and denials at the wedding of a first cousin of a monarch, the Elegushi of Ikateland, Oba Saheed Elegushi.
During interviews with the media at the wedding, she confirmed that both of them were an item and they have been together for four years. Obviously their romance had started before the Justice Funmilayo Olajumoke Atilade’s court dissolved Saidi and Faithia Balogun’s wedding.
