Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly addressed ongoing rumours about her personal life for the first time, revealing that she voluntarily took a drug test to put an end to allegations branding her a drug addict.

In an emotional Instagram post shared on Wednesday, the actress opened up about what she described as one of the most challenging seasons of her life. According to Daniels, the past few months left her emotionally shaken and forced her to confront painful narratives circulating about her online.“

The last few months have been incredibly heavy for me,” she wrote. “Everything I once felt secure about seemed to be slipping away.”

Regina explained that the persistent claims questioning her character deeply affected her, prompting her decision to undergo a drug test. She said the choice was driven by a desire to protect her integrity and honour the people who have consistently supported her.“

After deep reflection, I chose to take the test because I owe it to those who believe in me, those who love me, and those who see me as a role model,” she stated. “Integrity and accountability are important to me.”

Despite the emotional toll, the actress said she found strength in the love and encouragement she received from her family, close friends, and loyal fans. She credited their support for helping her withstand the pressure and negativity.“

I didn’t let it destroy me,” she said. “I was lifted by overwhelming love, patience, understanding, and support.”

Regina also used the moment to speak on the broader issue of public judgment and misinformation, warning against allowing external opinions to shape one’s identity.

“People often project their fears, insecurities, and negativity onto others,” she wrote. “But projection is not reality, and noise is not the truth.”
