Just a day after President Muhammadu Buhari returned from attending the African Business forum in Egypt.
President Buhari is set for a weeklong official trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar as some OPEC members meet to determine the course to chart to stabilise oil prices.
Earlier in the week, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Russia had agreed to freeze production in an attempt to arrest an impending oil glut. The three countries are expected to try to prevail on other OPEC members to also freeze production.
A statement by the presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina on Sunday stated, โOngoing efforts by Nigeria and other members of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to achieve greater stability in the price of crude oil exports are expected to be high on the agenda of discussions between President Buhari and the Saudi Monarch.โ
