Davido recently discussed why he believes he is the most disregarded Nigerian musician in an interview with The Breakfast Club.
Davido referred to himself as the most insulted and abused Nigerian artist when discussing the behaviour of some fans who assaulted him out of allegiance to another artist.
He disclosed that Victoria Monet even saw numerous disparaging comments on their collaboration on his next album, “5ive,” and he had to persuade her to disregard them.
Davido revealed that some users who want to profit from their popular articles have attacked him even more as a result of the microblogging site X’s monetisation possibilities.

He told the tale of one of his harshest critics, whom he eventually met and discovered was only criticising him to increase his following and earn money.
“If you see the crazy things they say. I can’t even show my wife because I know she will break down,” Davido explained.
“I think in the history of Nigerian artists, I have been the most bashed and disrespected artist,” Davido said on the incessant attacks he has had to endure from opposing fans.
Although Davido didn’t say it, many of the abuses he has received have come from Burna Boy and Wizkid fans, with whom he has had disagreements over the years.
Davido’s connection with the other two members of the well-known Afrobeats Big 3 was questioned during an interview with The Breakfast Club. He disclosed that he no longer maintains a personal connection with them.
“I don’t have a personal relationship with them. I did at some point,” Davido explained

Davido declined to rule out the prospect of working with Wizkid and Burna Boy, but he did say that fans who set them against one another are primarily to blame for their problems.
“It’s not impossible. It’s just the people around us who wouldn’t want that to happen,” Davido explained on the nature of his relationship with Wizkid and Burna Boy.
By leaving the possibility of a cooperation open, Davido may be downplaying his problems with Burna Boy and Wizkid, but the recent criticism of him by both celebrities suggests otherwise.
For the past ten years, Davido and Wizkid have been involved in an intermittent feud.
In a similar vein, the two have been at odds ever since they split from Burna Boy.
