Dickson , in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary,Daniel Iworiso-Markson maintained that,ย โ€œThere canโ€™t be a vacuum and as servants of the law, we must be seen at all times to be people who are duty bound to uphold the law and to do the right things at all times in the eyes of the law.โ€

The Bayelsa Governor also condemned Ahmed Gulak for imposing himself as the national chairman of the party.

It will beย recalled that, Gulak on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, arrived at the PDP national headquarters, Abuja, andย  immediately addressed a news conference announcing himself as the new PDP national Chairman.

The PDP Governorsโ€™ forum also issued a statement, through its chairman, Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state asking Secondus to step down and let the national secretary take over.

Secondus on his part, issued a statement through the PDP National Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwon saying โ€œThere has not been any change whatsoever in the leadership composition of the party at the national level.โ€
