As part of the planning for Priscilla’s upcoming traditional wedding to Juma Jux, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo and her daughter, Priscilla, recently made a special visit to Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.
The mother-daughter pair was warmly received by the royal family during the visit, and Priscilla demonstrated her respect by kneeling to deliver the wedding invitation to the Ooni of Ife.
A heartwarming video of the moment was shared on Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram account.
This gesture holds significance in Nigerian culture, where it is customary to seek the blessings of traditional leaders, particularly before to key life events such as weddings.
Inviting the Ooni of Ife to her wedding is a way for Priscilla and her family to respect cultural customs and get the royal blessing for their happy occasion.
