American rapper Offset has been hospitalised after sustaining a gunshot wound during an incident outside a well-known casino in Florida on Monday evening, his representative has confirmed.
The 34-year-old artiste, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and subsequently taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.
His representative stated that the rapper is currently in stable condition and under close medical supervision.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is receiving care at the hospital. He is stable and being monitored,” the statement read.
According to the Seminole Police Department, the shooting occurred in a valet area shortly after 7 p.m. and resulted in non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities responded promptly, secured the scene, and detained two individuals in connection with the incident.
Police added that investigations are ongoing, noting that the area has been made safe and there is no risk to the public, with normal operations continuing at the venue.

Offset, who is the estranged partner of Cardi B, gained prominence as a member of the Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, which he co-founded in 2008 alongside Quavo and Takeoff. The group went on to become one of the defining acts of the 2010s.
In a tragic turn, Takeoff, born Kirsnick Khari Ball, was also shot and killed at the age of 28 outside a bowling alley in Houston in November 2022.
A suspect, Patrick Xavier Clark, was indicted for murder in May 2023 and is expected to stand trial on November 9, 2026.
