Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express their opinions on the shocking news revealed by Shoprite as they prepare to exit the Nigerian market after 15 years.

According to a Twitter user, he believes that many issues have led to the exit of the South Africa’s grocery market which ranges from political bottlenecks, chaotic business strains associated with doing business in Nigeria and staff theft. See his tweet below:

My only problem with shoprite leaving nigeria is where will our Kaduna people that normally come to kano to snap pictures go again, it's sad you know. But I don't mind them leaving sha bc it'll help small market grow, I'm just worried about our Kaduna💔🤦‍♂️😂
