Nigerian musician Inetimi Timaya Odon, better known online as Timaya, has reiterated his disinterest in dating Nigerian women, particularly those he finds on social media.

The artist has previously stated on multiple occasions that he prefers foreign women, so this desire is not new.

Timaya reaffirmed this position in a recent video that was posted by well-known interior designer Ehi Ogbebor.

In the video, which was first shared on Ehi’s Instagram stories, she jokingly implied that Timaya could need a friend after he made a hilarious claim to be “on the streets.”

Timaya swiftly responded by stating that he was not homeless and stressed that he was not seeking a relationship, especially not from Nigeria.

Timaya utilised a well-known Nigerian gesture to further emphasise his point: he snapped his fingers and rotated both arms over his head.

This gesture is usually used to convey extreme disbelief or rejection and shows that he was serious about what he was saying.
