New Media Conference School Debate 2025 Inspires Young Voices in Lagos 

The atmosphere was electric this morning at Command Day Secondary School, Ikeja, as the New Media Conference (NMC) School Debate 2025 took center stage. The event, held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10 a.m., gathered some of Nigeria’s brightest students eager to share their thoughts on the evolving media landscape.

Convened by Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Olorisupergal, the debate continues her mission to amplify young voices through the annual New Media Conference platform. The 2025 edition was gracefully hosted by Isabella Adediji, Founder and Managing Director of Yellow Tamarind Productions, a media company known for crafting educational and inspiring stories.

The day opened with an address by LT COL S.O. Omoyemi, who spoke passionately about how fast the digital world is transforming and its growing influence on society. He praised the students for their courage and intellect, reminding them that “every participant is already a winner” for daring to express their ideas in public. His message set a tone of optimism and self-belief that echoed throughout the hall.

Next on stage was Tosin Ajibade, who reflected on how the NMC platform has empowered students since its inception in 2017, giving them the opportunity to express themselves and shape conversations about media and technology. She highlighted how the conference continues to nurture creativity and confidence among young Nigerians.

In a major announcement, Tosin introduced the Super Girl Foundation, an initiative aimed at supporting children and widows through digital and vocational skill training and literacy programs. She revealed that the foundation will officially launch in December 2025 and called for sponsors and partners to join in expanding the mission to empower communities.

The announcement was met with applause as guests commended her dedication to youth development and digital inclusion. The debate sessions that followed carried on the spirit of innovation and purpose that the morning had sparked.
