Music star, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has revealed the reasons why many Nigerians choose to give birth outside the country, following a growing trend which has seen the upper and middle class in Nigeria opting to have their children abroad.

On a recent episode of The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido explained that giving birth abroad is often seen as a way to secure a better future for the child, comparing it to purchasing an insurance policy.

He highlighted that children born abroad gain access to foreign citizenship, better opportunities, quality healthcare, and superior education.

“Having a baby abroad is becoming quite common in Nigeria. It’s not just about better medical facilities; many people also prefer it to avoid the hassle of applying for visas later,” he shared.
