Nigerian singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi recently stirred up social media after sharing a throwback photo from his secondary school yearbook. The image, posted on his Instagram page on Sunday, September 21, 2025, included a motivational caption he had written as a student — “It’s not over until it’s over. See you at the top everyone cheers.”

What caught attention wasn’t just the message but the classmates standing alongside him in the yearbook photo. Soon after the post went up, social media users began searching for Mr Eazi’s former classmates to compare their lives with his. The comparisons ranged from professional success to social media presence. Some users shared LinkedIn profiles, Instagram pages, and Facebook references of those pictured beside Mr Eazi in the photo.

Mixed Reactions and Online Debates

Naturally, reactions were mixed. Some fans praised Mr Eazi for sharing the throwback, seeing it as inspiration. They felt that his journey from secondary school ambitions to global artist demonstrates hard work and fulfillment of early promises. Others, however, voiced discomfort with the comparisons being made. One user commented that success is personal and measuring classmates against Mr Eazi overlooks individual paths and circumstances.
