Liverpool defender Mamadou Sahko is under investigation by UEFA over allegations of doping.

Sahko allegedly failed a doping test although UEFA has disclosed “there are no disciplinary proceedings opened at this stage”.

Liverpool have simply said that although the club will not take disciplinary action against the player, hr will not be available for selection.

Sahko was not listed in the team sheet for Liverpool’s match against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.
He is suspected to have tested positive for a fat burner and might face a six month long ban if he is eventually found guilty.
