In the post the entertainer, born Nosa Afolabi, described the newborn as “our joy, our testimony, our gift from God” and included the Bible verse:

“Whoever believes in me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” — John 7:38 (NLT)

He added further:

“Meet our son RIVER ELROI, ADÉDÁMÍNÌ, ADEWUNMI, NOSAGIE, ANYALEWECHI AFOLABI… Our RIVER of flowing waters is here.”

A name that got people talking

The unique name sparked plenty of reactions online. Some fans applauded the spiritual significance of “River” — a symbol of continuity, life and renewal. Others took a more humorous turn in their comments, with one writing:

“An NSPPD BABY if I’m not mistaken. CONGRATULATIONS, God bless your new born.”

Many followers referenced the couple’s first child, a daughter named Rain Afolabi, born in 2022, noting the nature-themed names and joking that perhaps the next child would be called “Thunder” or “Ocean”.

The couple announced this latest addition after previously sharing maternity photos and expecting the baby since August.

For Lasisi Elenu, this moment represents both personal and professional achievement. Known for his skits, acting and social-media presence, he tied the knot with Nonso in 2022 and has steadily built a family alongside his creative career.

Fans and fellow entertainers flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the newborn and the joy he brings to the Afolabi household. The name choice and the accompanying message underline a blend of faith, celebration and creative identity.
