Lagos State Government Set to Charge Face Mask Defaulters to Court From Next Week

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu has announced that face mask defaulters will be charged to court from next week. The Governor said this during the media briefing on Covid-19.

He mentioned that wearing of face masks in public is mandatory as it would ensure the safety of the people from the virus in the state.

“Mask usage is mandatory in public places. We are asking offices and business and commercial premises to refuse entry to any persons not wearing masks, in line with the Presidential Task Force directive on โ€˜No mask, No serviceโ€™. Enforcement agencies will from this week charge defaulters to court, as the period of grace is now over,โ€ he said.
