Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, aka K1 De Ultimate, delivered an electrifying performance at the grand finale of the Ogun 2024 Gateway Games, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement.

The king of Fuji music, as fondly called, drew a massive audience and did not disappoint as he brought his signature energy, live band, and timeless hits to the stage.

In the video, K1 was seen pulling off his jacket as he tried to cheer up his fans, saying that he’s in for them tonight.

The Ogun 2024 Gateway Games brought together athletes from across Nigeria in a thrilling display of talent, unity, and sportsmanship.

Kwam1’s music career

K1 De Ultimate has been at the centre of several controversies throughout his career. In 2017, he faced backlash for claiming that Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, the pioneer of Fuji music, did not create the genre but merely popularised it.

This statement was met with criticism from Barrister’s supporters, leading to public disputes.

Recently, during the funeral of his mother, he made a controversial statement where he said most of the Islamic clerics who came to attend his mother’s funeral were there for their financial gain.

He then received backlash from other clerics that he should not have said such and should apologise, but to date, he has never done so.
