As the news of the alleged secret marriage of the Kokomaster, D’banj, continues to make headlines online and on social media, Nigerian Afro pop singer, Imelda Ada Okwori, popularly known by her stage name as Imelda J, who has been allegedly romantically linked with D’banj, has reacted to the viral news saying she is not threatened.
It can be recalled that last week, news made the rounds that D’banj and his 24-year-old half caste lover, Didi Kilglow secretly wedded at a registry in Lagos.
Although D’banj had denied rumours of the alleged marriage, saying it was a mere figment of the reporterโs imagination, Imelda J is of the opinion that if the story was true, she would not have been bothered, insisting she knows where she belongs in D’banjโs life.
In an exclusive interview with DailyPost, the singer whose cover of D’banjโs ‘Emergency’ brought to limelight, said;

โI donโt feel threatened by the rumors. I know myself and Bangalee (DBanj) knows himself too. We all know our stands. But for now, I will reserve my comment until the coast gets clearer for everyone to see. No shaking at all.โ
When asked if that was a way of confirming she had been romantically linked with D’banj, Imelda said, โI wish to keep my personal life private. Thatโs why it is personal.โ
When further asked if she felt bad that he didnโt mention to her he was going to get married (if the report were true), she laughed saying, โI know exactly what is happening. Let me be calm for now.
โBangalee is a very playful person. He plays with peopleโs intelligence. Until you are close to him, you wonโt know when he is truly serious. So donโt get deceived most times by what he says and what he does. You need to be very smart to catch up with him.

โI really donโt wish to talk about anything as regards that for now. But I promise to tell you few things later.โ
When asked if in essense she was also refuting the marriage rumours, she said, โYou really want to hear the koko from me. Wait for the Kokomaster. When he is done teasing the world, he will tell you the koko.
โLike I said earlier, you already know the answer. But then, marriage or no marriage, does it really matter to me? It doesnโt matter to me at all. I am not threatened. Personally, if it were to be true, why would I feel bad? Not at all. Does that change anything?,โ she said.
