Hours after, Nigerian singer Oluwadipe Oluwasanmi David aka Spyro got tangled up in an online war between himself and former record label owner, Ubi Franklin another one with billionaire, Paulo Okoye hits the fan.
OSG recalls reporting an interview Spyro had with Echoroom where he revealed how Ubi Franklin defrauded him off $5k. He shared how Ubi got him to perform at a concert in Ghana but refused to pay him for the show.
Another clip from the same interview where Spyro spoke about his relationship with his former record label boss, Pauloo, went viral. During his conversation with Echoroom he noted that he regrets being signed to Pauloo’s label.
Spyro stated that throughout his time at Pauloo’s label, he didn’t make a dime, and his boss kept getting fat from his hard work. This comment has sparked a response from the billionaire.
Paulo reacts to Spyro’s comment
Pauloo on his social media page released a receipt of how much he spent on Spyro over three years while he was at his label. He noted that throughout Spyro’s time on his roster, he didn’t make a dime of the singer.
The showbiz mogul shared a receipt that showed how much he spent covering Spyro’s expenses, as against his claims of taking personal loans to finance himself.
In the receipt, Pauloo noted that he paid for two music videos, and took the singer to Dubai, the UK while covering his hotel and flight fees which cost over N12m.
The billionaire also shared details of how much he paid to help promote Spyro’s songs and even the loans he gave him from his purse.
