Posing with her youngest great-grandchild Princess Charlotte on her lap, and surrounded by her adorable family members, the Queen is the picture of pride and happiness in a new photo released by the palace to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday today, April 21, 2016.
The photo below shows the monarch with her five great-grandchildren and her two youngest grandchildren – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Mia Tindall, Lady Louise Windsor, James, Viscount Severn, Savannah Phillips and Isla Phillips.
In the tradition of royal portraiture, the Queen holds the youngest member of the group, in this case 11-month-old Princess Charlotte, who proudly shows off her first teeth while holding a toy horse.
