Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has shared the travails she went through after she appeared on the Honest Bunch Podcast.
Recall that Yvonne Jegede appeared on the Honest Bunch podcast, and she spoke about her crashed marriage. Her utterances on the show stirred massive criticisms, which saw many rain curses on her.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she shared what she went through at the hands of the podcaster, Nedu, and what the interview did to her brand.
According to the ebony-skinned actress, Nedu sent her messages asking her out. She claimed that as Nedu was in her WhatsApp asking her out, he was at the same time posting materials that further fuelled the negative attacks on her.
The film star said her son was also attacked as many rained curses on him online, which, she said, made her deactivate his Instagram page.
Yvonne Jegede also asserted that based on the press release from the podcast, many believed that she paid for the interview.
Correcting that notion, Jegede pointed out that she didn’t pay for the interview because the movie she promoted during her interview was not produced by her.
The actress also noted that her words were twisted, which made her dislike people who distort the truth.

In her video, Jegede also remarked that she had previously been bitter, livid, and angry but noted that, with the help and support of those close to her, she was able to move on.
Yvonne Jegede added that she had forgiven Nedu and wished him well in his endeavours.
Sharing the lessons learned from her ordeal, she noted that people would gain nothing, not even YouTube views, from bringing others down.

The clips cut from my episode on that show for promotional purposes were designed to attract trolls, and my brand was subjected to all sorts of dragging. While this was happening, Nedu, who was in my WhatsApp messages asking me out, was simultaneously posting materials that further fueled the negative attacks on me. Even people flooded my son’s social media page cursing and swearing at him, I had to take his page down.
The worst part was people claiming, based on a press release from The Honest Bunch Podcast, that I must have paid for my interview feature. That is totally untrue. I could not have paid to appear on a show for a movie I neither produced nor owned. The twisting of the narrative further made me dislike people who are dishonest or who try to paint yellow as black.
