Global Music Icon Rihanna Is Expecting Third Child With A$AP Rocky

The world-renowned musician Rihanna is expecting her third child with rapper and husband A$AP Rocky.

On Monday, May 5th, 2025, the 37-year-old singer attracted attention when she was seen flaunting her baby bulge as she left her hotel in New York City on her way to the Met Gala.

A$AP and Rihanna Riot, age 1, and RZA, age 2, are already the parents of Rocky and Riot, who started dating in 2020.

Rocky is also one of the co-hosts of the esteemed fashion event this year.

Following a heartwarming photo shoot in New York in January 2022, the couple made their pregnancy public.

Rocky chose blue to match Rihanna’s pink jacket, which showed off her baby belly. In May 2022, RZA Athelston Mayers, their first son, was born.

Wearing a bright red attire, Rihanna unexpectedly announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl halftime show in February 2023.

In August of the same year, she gave birth to Riot Rose Mayers, their second son.

Rihanna has frequently discussed the profound effects of parenting on her. She said that her kids now have a say in all of her decisions in a February interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“So I have a weird resentment with the things that I love. You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere,” she explained. “And even when you show up there, it’s not 100 percent because there’s something else on the wheel. It’s actually given me a lot more self-guilt. I don’t like letting people down, but I also know that most of that is me letting myself down, which means something has to change, but everything is on the wheel at all times.”

“I have to keep reminding myself that I asked for this, I love this,” she added of motherhood. “I try to figure out a balance so that I can feel fulfilled when I show up to something, so I can feel I don’t have any guilt.”

The “Umbrella” singer also spoke about her sons’ different personalities.

“RZA is just an empath,” she said of her eldest. “He’s so magical. He loves music. He loves melody. He loves books. He loves water. Bath time, swimming, pool, beach, anything.”

Riot, meanwhile, is “hilarious,” Rihanna said.

“When he wakes up, he starts to squeal, scream. Not in a crying way. He just wants to sing,” she added about her second child. “And I’m like, ‘Okay, here we go!’ He’s my alarm in the morning! He’s not taking no for an answer from anyone. I don’t know where he came from, dude.”

Rihanna also told Harper’s Bazaar that the “greatest thing” about Rocky “is seeing him be a dad.”

“I’m annoyed because my sons sometimes just live for him more than they live for me,” she joked. “And I’m like, ‘Did you know who cooked you? Do you know who pushed you out?’ And they love him, but when I see it, oh, it’s the best.”
