Nollywood actress and renowned filmmaker Funke Akindele recently shared some information about her new movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa and some of the records it has been setting on her social media handle.
In the recent post shared on her social media handle, Funke Akindele gave an update about her movie and its successes outside the shores of Nigeria.
She shared how much Everybody Loves Jenifa (ELJ) has made in 11 Francophone countries within Africa. Funke also gave details about how much the movie has made in cinemas in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada.
The actress also revealed plans to take the movie on tour to Finland, Italy and India. OSG recalls reporting when Funke Akindele along with her crew arrived in Ghana during a promotional engagement for the trending new movie.
Recall also when it made the news that Funke Akindele’s ELJ was confirmed by FilmOne as the highest-grossing movie ever to be released at the box office in Nollywood.
A list was published and it was affirmed that Everybody Loves Jenifa had made over N1.3bn at the cinemas in Nigeria. More details from the international cinemas have now emerged and the movie is not doing badly at all.
