The Lagos State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has stepped up its “Operation Zero Tolerance Programme” to enhance road safety and ease traffic flow beyond the festive season.
According to FRSC spokesperson, Route Commander Elizabeth Jayeola, the initiative focuses on public enlightenment in schools, parks, and places of worship to promote safe driving habits.
In addition to issuing fines for violations, offenders may undergo psychological evaluations and mandatory safety education.
Jayeola emphasized that the dual approach of education and enforcement aims to reduce accidents, foster behavioral change, and ensure safer roads for all users in Lagos.
