The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has made a shocking revelation as to the effect of face shields in preventing the Coronavirus pandemic. The Health Agency said in a tweet that face shields alone do not prevent the spread of the infectious Coronavirus disease. According to NCDC, one is better protected when face shields are used with a face masks.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has tweeted thus, “Do not use a face shield without a face mask. A face shield alone cannot prevent the spread of infectious diseases like #COVID19. Always wear a mask & remember to practice frequent hand washing, respiratory hygiene & physical distancing for adequate protection
