A riot in a Mexican prison has left dozens of inmates dead as authorities have responded quickly to the violence. The riot at the Topo Chico prison in Northeastern Mexico in the state of Nuevo Leon has been confirmed by the Police with 50 people estimated dead.

There is little information on the riot which began at dawn and we’ll have updates for you as the story develops.
