Just two days after superstar entertainer Celine Dion‘s husband, Rene Angelil, lost his battle with cancer, Dion’s brother, Daniel Dion, has passed away from throat cancer, we’ve sadly learned via TheSource.
It was previously reported in recent days that Daniel had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and Celine and Daniel’s sibling, Claudette Dion, told reporters that it was just a “matter of days or hours.” Unfortunately, she was correct. Members of the Dion family flocked to Daniel’s bedside in the midst of preparing for Angelil’s funeral–which will be Friday in Montreal–once they learned of his condition.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dion and Angelil families during this incredibly difficult time.
