Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has made fresh and explosive allegations against popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, claiming that he gave her a total of $10,000 in an attempt to influence her narrative regarding previous allegations she had made online.
The revelation was made in a video posted on her Instagram page about three hours ago, further intensifying the already heated controversy surrounding the pastor.
According to Doris Ogala, the first payment of $5,000 was allegedly given to her on Monday, December 22, with another $5,000 sent the following day, December 23, which she said was the same day she recorded the now-viral video. In her account, she claimed that Pastor Chris wanted her to publicly state that the allegations she had been posting about him were orchestrated by a group of pastors who allegedly pressured her to do so.
Visibly emotional yet resolute, Doris Ogala rejected the suggestion outright. โYou want me to take the fall after all Iโve said?โ she asked in the video. She went on to insist that the money meant nothing to her and would not change her stance. โThis money will not affect anything in my life or be a transaction for any part of my body,โ she said, adding a strong spiritual declaration: โGreater is He that is in me. I cancel any altar that this money might be from.โ
Doris further alleged that she deliberately accepted the money as proof of her claims. According to her, the act was meant to demonstrate that her earlier statements were truthful and not motivated by blackmail or extortion. โChris, you do not have power over me. I deliberately collected the money to let you guys know that everything I said is the truth,โ she stated.
She also denied any attempt at blackmail, explaining that her intention was transparency. โIโm not blackmailing you. I wanted the world to know that you gave me money. I will not put it on any manโs head,โ she added.
Towards the end of the video, Doris Ogala displayed screenshots of an alleged WhatsApp conversation with a phone number she claimed belonged to Pastor Chris Okafor. She also showed her hand holding what she described as the $10,000 cash, further fueling public debate online.
As of the time of filing this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not publicly responded to these latest allegations. The unfolding situation continues to generate widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians calling for clarity, accountability, and official responses.
