Diversity, Creativity & Colour meets the Runway at Zimbabwe Fashion Showcase 2016

Designers โ€˜RAAAH, Tsitsi Fred Knitwear, Pesnique, House of Hohwa, S.Vingo and more took to the stage with their creative, elegant and inspiring collections on the opening night at the 2nd Annual Zimbabwe Fashion Showcase which took place at the โ€˜Mac Birmingham. As the models hit the runway in the various collections it had the audience looking in awe as they erupted with hand claps and head gestures of approval. The event which spanned over 2 days was hosted by BBC Radio Leicesterโ€™s โ€˜Kevin Ncubeโ€™ and actress/presenter โ€˜Nyasha Michelleโ€™.
In attendance was the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Carl Rice and Lady Mayoress Mrs Deed Curry who opened the event with a welcome speech.
Entertainment on the night was provided by โ€˜Uzambezi Traditional Dancersโ€™, as they took to the stage with their traditional sounds and dance, ย they had the crowd entertained and engaged non-stop.

โ€œThe collections were all remarkable and yet unique in their own special wayโ€ said Zimbabwe Fashion Showcase founder Chiedza Ziyambe. โ€œThe platform was created to showcase and promote the creative efforts of Zimbabweโ€™s emerging and talented designers/sytlists and I am delighted we are able to do just thatโ€.
The main sponsors of the event were World Remit, Integrar & Radiant Glo.
The event was also supported by BAWR, BEN TV, and Reminisce.
Also attending all the way from Ireland was by multiple award-winning make-up artist Mercy Kudakwashe who saw to it that all the models looked flawless.
