Veteran journalist and publisher Dele Momodu has revealed that efforts are being made behind the scenes to resolve the ongoing tension between Afrobeats star Davido and Sophia Momodu.

Momodu shared the update in a social media post while in Liberia, where he had travelled to commiserate with former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor over the passing of her only child, Charles Philip Neilson Taylor Jr.

In his message, the media personality disclosed that since arriving in Liberia, he had been flooded with messages from fans of Davido and supporters of Sophia Momodu, urging him to step in and help resolve the dispute between the former couple.

Responding to one of the appeals, Momodu assured concerned fans that steps are already being taken privately.

“Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright. We are working behind the scenes. Please keep everyone in your prayers,” he wrote.

He added that in Liberia, Davido is treated “like the god of music,” highlighting the singer’s strong fan base across Africa.
