Arsenal defender, Mathieu Debuchy has revealed that Arsenal blocked his attempt to secure a loan transfer away from the club to rivals, Manchester United during the January transfer window.

The 30 year old defender has fallen out of favor with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and has lost his place to the younger Hector Bellerin.

Although Debuchy has joined Bordeaux on a season long loan, he admitted his annoyance with Wenger for refusing to let him move to Manchester United.
Debuchy told Canal+: “Unfortunately it wasn’t the case. Yes, I’m a little bit annoyed with him. It’s his choice.”
