The DNA controversy involving Afrobeats superstar Davido and teenager Anu Adeleke has taken another dramatic turn following a more detailed statement credited to Davido’s father, billionaire businessman Dr. Adedeji Adeleke.
In the account now circulating online, Dr. Adeleke provided a step-by-step narration of how the initial DNA test involving Davido and Anu was conducted, offering clarity on what transpired behind closed doors and addressing lingering questions that have fueled public debate.
According to him, the DNA process was initiated after both families agreed to meet at a hospital in Lagos. Dr. Adeleke said that upon arriving at the medical facility, Davido saw Anu’s mother and immediately expressed surprise.

“When we got to the hospital where the DNA was to be done and David saw the baby’s mum, David said, ‘Daddy, I have never seen this girl before,’” he stated.
Despite Davido’s reaction, Dr. Adeleke insisted that the DNA test must go ahead, emphasizing that science, not emotion or speculation, should determine the truth. Samples were reportedly collected from both Davido and Anu, with saliva taken for analysis.
He explained that the medical team informed both families that the specimens would be sent to South Africa for testing, a detail he highlighted to underscore the seriousness and external handling of the process.
To ensure transparency, Dr. Adeleke said that both himself and Anu’s grandmother formally signed documents authorizing them as the official recipients of the DNA results. When the findings eventually came back, the probability of paternity reportedly read 0 percent.

“The result came and the probability of paternity was 0%. Anu’s mum started crying,” he said.
According to Dr. Adeleke, rather than dismiss the situation outright, he attempted to de-escalate tensions by suggesting further steps. He claimed he encouraged Anu’s mother and family to remain in Lagos so that two additional DNA tests could be conducted at facilities of their choosing, in order to completely remove doubt.
This detailed account follows earlier remarks attributed to Dr. Adeleke, where he addressed the role of controversial commentator Kemi Olunloyo, alleging that she is behind Anu’s Instagram account and has continued to amplify the issue online despite being cut off from both families.

He reiterated that if any scientific evidence had proven Anu to be his granddaughter, he would have accepted her without hesitation, noting that he already has 14 grandchildren.
The renewed statement comes amid intense online reactions after Davido recently reaffirmed his stance on social media, insisting that multiple DNA tests had already been carried out with negative results and declaring that he would no longer engage publicly on the matter.
On the other side, Anu’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, has continued to dispute the credibility of past tests, insisting that no fully independent, properly supervised DNA process has been conducted. She has also accused Davido of intimidation and emotional distress toward her daughter, claims that have further polarized public opinion.
Social media users remain sharply divided. While some sympathize with Anu’s desire to establish her identity, others argue that Davido and his family have gone above and beyond to resolve the issue privately and scientifically.
