At a New York pre-release album performance, Davido played tracks from his upcoming fifth album, ‘5ive.’
With a performance of some of the unreleased songs, including his eagerly awaited collaboration with Victony and Musa Keys, the five-time Grammy nominee thrilled audiences.
Following his album listening party in Nigeria and his appearance on Santi’s live broadcast, where he explained the meaning behind the album’s title, Davido is holding a pre-album release event in the US.
Davido just dropped a new track called “Be There Still” ahead of his next album. It features a blend of English and Pidgin with an upbeat Amapiano log drum fusion.

The single precedes the April 18 release of Davido’s much awaited fifth album, “Five.”
Davido has already had a busy start to 2025. At the 67th Grammy Awards, he received his sixth Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance for his contribution to Chris Brown’s “Sensational.”
Davido is now one of the most decorated musicians in the history of the awards, having recently been nominated in five categories, including the upcoming 17th Headies’ Artist of the Year.

Two singles, “Awuke” featuring Jamaican Dancehall sensation YG Marley and “Funds” featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck, were released by Davido prior to the album’s release.
The hitmaker called his upcoming album “straight from the heart” in the social media post announcing it.
It’s also anticipated that “5ive” would have a collaboration with Nigerian sensation Omah Lay, who stated in an interview that the song is the ideal pairing.
Following in the footsteps of his record-breaking fourth album, “Timeless,” Davido and his fans can anticipate a potential cameo appearance on the album, which Adekunle Gold just hinted about.
